Beef Wellington

Serves 4

Ingredients

4 x 200g Fillet Steak
1tbs Butter
1 Onion thinly sliced
100g Fresh Mushrooms
100g Liver Pate
400g Puff Pastry
1 Egg Yolk
Salt & Pepper

Steps

Step 1

Sear the fillet steaks on all sides and leave to rest.

Step 2

Fry the onion and mushrooms in butter for a few minutes and leave to cool.

Step 3

Spread the fillets with pate and top with the onion and mushrooms mixture.

Step 4

Roll out the dough and top with the steaks and wrap the dough around the meat.

Step 5

Wash the surface with egg yolk.

Step 6

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 220˚C for about 25 minutes.

Step 7

Serve with potato croquettes or a fresh salad.
